Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, you must be a competent swimmer – this is a water sport and all participants must be able to swim.

Who can attend?
Anyone 18 or older is welcome. If you are under 18, please come with a parent or guardian.

What should I wear?
Please wear non-loose clothing that you can easily move in – baggy clothing can obstruct your movements while in a boat. Depending on the weather forecast, bring layers to ensure you are comfortable. Also, bring socks to wear while rowing as you will be using shoes that are fixed in the boat.

Is there parking or a bike rack?
Free parking is available on-site for those who are driving a car. We also have bike racks on-site so you can lock up your bike while at the club.

How is the session structured?
You will learn the basic body movements on an indoor rowing machine, get into a rowing shell on the water, and row the boat in a loop and back to the docks.
